How to Excuse an Absence (Please report absences within 3 days using one of the following:)
Parent Square (easiest method, once registered)
- Respond to the absence notification with a reason (e.g. sick, appointment, personal etc.)
- No need to call or email.
- Not signed up yet? Accept the invite and register to start receiving notifications.Email
- Send the student's full name, date of absence, and reason for absence to attendance_covington@evergreenps.org.Phone
- Call (360) 604-6305. Spell your student's name, give the date(s) of absence and the absence reason. Note: this method is slower, and voicemails may be hard to understand.
Late Arrival
When students arrive late to school, please ensure they bring their Student ID to scan at the Tardy Kiosk. Scanning their ID is much faster than manually looking up and entering their student ID number, and it helps them get to class faster.
If you would like to excuse your student's late arrival, you have two options:
Email us at attendance_covington@evergreenps.org - there's no need to come into the office.
If you're unable to email, you can sign your student in on the Late Arrival Sheet (blue sheet) located in the main office.

Registration Information
To enroll a new student, scroll down to "New/Returning Students" and select "Get Temporary Login." Once you receive your login, select "New/Returning Student Online Application." Please note that applications are not complete until we have received signed copies of medically verified immunization records and proof of residency. These can be attached to your registration electronically or brought in to the main office.
Please be aware that transportation is not provided for students on boundary exceptions. Guardians are responsible for getting their student to school on time each day and picked up promptly after school.

Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm

District Calendar
Please note that while most early release days are on Wednesdays, they are not every Wednesday and are occasionally on other days of the week. Both the Covington calendar and the district's Middle School Calendar reflect the correct early release dates.
